Mix #1 plays only West Coast jazz and Mix #2 is for the East Coast scene.

https://jazzgroove.org/

West coast jazz tends to be more laid-back and relaxed, with a focus on groove and improvisation.

East coast jazz, on the other hand, is typified by its energy and excitement, with greater emphasis on technical proficiency and a more technically-oriented approach.

The two styles have definite differences, but at the same time, they share a lot of similar characteristics and elements.

Hard bop jazz is a subgenre of jazz that emerged in the mid-1940s and lasted through the 1960s.

It combines elements of bebop jazz, jazz improvisation, and the blues, often with a strong emphasis on rhythm and percussion.

Hard bop jazz was characterized by a mix of energetic and intense improvisation, along with a solid rhythmic groove.

It was influential during the period when jazz was evolving beyond the conventions of bebop jazz.

Do they play jazz in Texas?
There's a strong jazz culture in Texas, man.

Texas is home to many jazz musicians and aficionados, and there are plenty of venues and clubs that host jazz performances.

Jazz is quite popular and well-absorbed in Texas culture, especially in major cities such as Dallas, Houston, and Austin.

It's a lively jazz scene that attracts music lovers and connoisseurs from all over the world, with a solid blend of local and international talent.

Oh, wow!!! That's so interesting!!! So, West Coast jazz is more.... Chill, and relaxing, while East Coast jazz is more upbeat and energetic! I wonder why they ended up having such different vibes to them, even though they share so many elements? Maybe it's because of the different environments they originate from? Like, East Coast is super... Umm... Fast paced, right? While the West Coast is a bit more... Umm... Relaxed! Yeah, that's probably it!
